Customer Review: Ok for its price
Summary: 5 Stars

I bought this product because I needed a simple juice extractor and the first time I saw it was in Jamba Juice. I was going to buy it there but luckily I got it for a much cheaper price online. I wouldn't recommend it for constant and continuous use because the blade does seem to get dull easily. However, it does the job and it does the job well. I use it mostly for carrots and beets and the results are very satisfying. It's also farily easy to clean (except for the blade of course). But if you take care of the blade it should be fine. Other than that, its totally worth it but not for the price that Jamba sells it for (hint hint).

Customer Review: Affordable, attractive, and oh, it works too!
Summary: 4 Stars

I got this bright idea that I would try and get more nutrition into my toddler by getting a juicer, as he's currently only eating limited vegetables.

I didn't want to spend too much, because who knows if this passing phase will last, and I don't want to get him hooked on juice (even if it's good for you juice) as a source of food. So after doing some research on juicers, I decided that a simple centrifugal fit our needs. Based on what others have said here, it seemed as if this one was a pretty good juicer for the regular home user and also affordable.

There are a few cons to this and it seems that my cons echo what others have said:

It's loud - Yes, it's LOUD. It's louder than people even described in their reviews. If you're planning on making juice later at night after your kids have gone to bed, and their room isn't far from the kitchen, I'd wait until everyone's up. Our son's room is on the second floor, but we have a two story family room, that has a half wall in the hallway above, so noise carries. There's no way I'd use this after he went to bed.

The cup - The cup is 32oz. I only made half of that, and right at about that mark, the juice would splash out a bit. This isn't a huge deal, but it will add to the mess.

The receptacle - I made apple carrot juice and had to cut the carrot into slices. Again, not a huge deal, but you definitely can't fit a whole apple in here.

For its maiden voyage, I made apple carrot juice, using two medium sized apples, and three small to medium sized carrots and got about 16 ounces of juice, which isn't bad at all, in my opinion. There wasn't liquid left in the pulp, but there was a TON of pulp. Since I've never had a juicer, I don't have anything to compare it to.

Clean up is a breeze if you do it right away. I didn't really need much soap, just mostly hot water, and the basket was pretty easy to clean out. I've heard that some of the other brands, like the Breville, had baskets that were a nightmare to clean, but with the little brush and some soap, I was able to get 99% of the pulp out of the container. Any leftover detritus, my husband happily volunteered his air compressor for.

One of the other reasons, that I picked this juicer is that from what I can tell, I'm about 95% sure the plastic is BPA free. Most of the others looked to have polycarbonate in them, which may not be a concern to you, but it is to me. I'd have preferred something all stainless, but this one is as close as I can get.

Overall, it's really not a bad juicer for the money. If you can stand a little noise, and a few drops of juice, this is great for the average juicer.

Customer Review: Good Product
Summary: 4 Stars

I bought this juicer two weeks ago. I've used it several times. In general it works quite well. However, it is not very quiet but not horrible either. For the most part it is designed well. All of the pieces are big and cleaning is fairly simple. Its not a chore like my last juicer was.

My only complaint with this juicer is the cup that catches the juice is too short. Once the juice starts filling the cup over half way it splatters the juice all over your counter top. So you have to stop juicing and dump the juice from the reservoir cup into a container or glass. Otherwise, this is a great product.

Customer Review: First Experience with a Juicer
Summary: 4 Stars

This is my first juicer ever, and I'm rather happy with it. I won't lie and say that I have great experience when it comes to juicer, but I think this one is a pretty decent juicer. It juiced my apples, carrots, greens (collard and kale) and oranges with little problem. The pulp was still a little juicy, but unless I buy a masticating juicer (which is way too expensive for my part time salary) I expected this.

Clean up isn't too difficult. It takes about 5-10 minutes (which is probably longer than average for me because I leave in a dorm, with a teeny tiny kitchen). I bought a bigger brush from the grocery store to to help with clean up, I use wet paper towels to get into the crevices, and the little brush that it comes with is relatively helpful, but I have done cleanup without it. The big thing is to clean right after juicing because the pulp just slides right off. A lot of the parts are easily removed so it can be placed under the faucet, which makes it easier. I haven't tried placing it in a blender because I don't have one, so I cannot give advice in that area.

It is a bit loud, but again I expected this, so it wasn't a huge deal breaker for me. The noise level is fine enough for me to use in my dorm kitchen without too much fear of waking my suite mate.

Overall, I'm pretty happy with the juicer, and I'm glad that I purchased it.

FYI: my juicer is refurbished. I got it from a different website for $26 (shipping was about $18). But I don't think that this is a big factor in its workability (but I could be wrong).

Customer Review: Good Juicer
Summary: 4 Stars

I've juiced carrots and star fruit with this unit. Very easy to clean. The pulp is a little moist, maybe some more juice in there. Over all a good juicer.
