Kitchen and Housewares Reviews of Waring Pro MG-800 Professional Meat Grinder, Brushed Stainless SteelCustomer Review: meat grinder Summary: 5 StarsThis grinder is great. I bought it to grind meat with bones for my dogs. I have ground up all parts of a chicken in it. It is easy to clean and very stable. If I had a complaint it would be the jet (noise) engine. I love it. Highly reccomended.
Customer Review: Great little machine but... Summary: 4 StarsRecently purchased the MG-800 and started making sausage. The machine is easy to use and clean and does what it claims to do. Two issues I have found with it are:
1. Hopper sides are a bit low and the bottom is flat. This makes spillages a bit of a problem and working alone a bit more complex.
2. Machine could be heavier. I have managed to almost topple it a few times when using the meat pushing rod.
All in all a good purchase so far.
Customer Review: grinder Summary: 4 Stars great-hard working machine. Too bad it is not dishwasher safe
Customer Review: Go no further. This is it. Summary: 5 StarsUnless you are in business, you will find this grinder quite adequate. I started grinding pork when I was 6 yrs old (really)with a large hand grinder. As time has moved along, I have tried (through purchase or borrowing) several different home grinders. I process 4-6 deer a year. I have never been satisfied, until now. This grinder has enough amps in the motor to process quickly. I processed 3 deer recently. I did not have to take the grinder apart to clear the stringy fascia even once. Grinding was effortless. I like the forward and reverse switch mechanism for clearing jams. Reverse automatically stops when you remove pressure. Since I didn't have to actually use it, I can't tell you that it works great. All peices ahave a good fit. The stainless makes cleaning rather easy. Truth in advertising wouldn't allow me to promote this as a Professional grinder (which I have used), but I think that this grinder has found a home. It's definitely worth the money.
Customer Review: Great Meat Grinder Summary: 5 StarsThis grinder did everything the discription said it would. We use it to grind venison and pork, to make sausage and snack sticks. It pulls the meat through very well, is sturdy and stable and easy to clean.
Previously we used our Kitchenaid mixer grinder attachment, which does a nice job for small amounts ( about 5 to 10 pounds of meat).
But the Waring MG800 did 20 pounds of meat in just a few minutes and was ready to keep going. We are very happy with this grinder and my husband tells everyone about it.
